Interrail '23 - Venice
Let’s kick things off with a ethical question: is it appropriate to surreptitiously take photographs of someone’s tattoos?
Well, when your boat conductor has Matrix, Futurama and Murder She Wrote ink, it would feel rude to not document them.
Oh yes, boat conductor, as we had made it to our penultimate stop in Italy - Venice.
Best meal of the trip so far was found at Nevodi. So much so, I made a proper note of what we had:
Me: Lasagna Di Carne Salada e Funghi Al Profumo Di Tartufo Nero
(White lasagne with Trentino salted meat, mixed mushrooms, smoked provola and black truffle)
Ida: Grilled Sicilian red tuna with 3 flavours tonno rosso sicilia grigliato ai tre sapori
Naturally Seared, Poppy Seed crust, Seasame Seed Crust
A dander around after checking in, including a 30 second boat trip across a harbour to….nothing.
Right after I took this photo, a local gentleman stopped us, informing us that it was the wrong place to take the photograph - it should be from the position of the guy in the photo, looking to the right. So we took one:
Well, he wasn’t wrong. (He was an art teacher)
Paying respect to a fallen IMF agent.
Back to mainland.
Take Care x
